The Gratitude Gala Awards is pleased to announce television star, author and acclaimed entrepreneur Arlene Dickson as our keynote speaker for our third annual Gratitude Gala. A star of CBC’s award-winning television series Dragon’s Den and the new hit series The Big Decision, Arlene is a South-African refugee who came to Canada at three years old. She has gone on to become one of Canada’s most successful and prominent business figures as the CEO and owner of Venture Communications, one of Canada’s top independent marketing communications firms.

Arlene was added to Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Hall of Fame and PROFIT and Chatelaine Magazine’s TOP 100 Business Owners. She was also awarded the Pinnacle Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, Ad Rodeo’s Lifetime Achievement Award, McGill University’s Management Achievement Award and was even recognized as a Global Television’s Woman of Vision. With her refugee roots, Canadian citizenship and powerful influence, there could not be a more perfect fit for the 2013 Gratitude Gala than Arlene Dickinson.
